The Best Online Trading Resources

You’ve probably noticed - its hard not to - that there is a jungle of trading information out there.  And as you’re wading through this swamplike jungle there’s more snake oil than genuine advice.  Not only is it a huge pain in the ass having to plough through this caca but sometimes the only way to find out whether its real or not is to spend your hard earned cash - only to find out you wasted your time and money.  Even the sites that claim to be a trading resource are often just a list of links - its impossible to tell whether the stuff is any good - and half the time these so called resource sites are in bed with the vendors.

Trading information you can trust

We created this site as a truly independent trading resource - a way for traders to quickly cut throught the crap and find the ‘real deal’.  On this site you’ll find the cream of the crop- methods, books, advice that works based on our experience and research. But don’t take our word for it, this site is a way for traders to weigh-in on how useful they have found a particular product or service.  That way you don’t have to rely on the slick advertising copy of the vendors - you can read the review and ratings of your peers.

How Does it Work?

Very simple. The left sidebar contains a list of pages for various trading products, services, brokers etc. Click on one and you will be able to express your opinion in two ways: (1) by rating it in a simple poll, and (2) by typing in a comment in the comment box. You will also be able to see the voting results (click the “view results” link) and the accumulated comments to date.

Rules for Comments

There aren’t any, but there are some guidelines:

Be Concise. No need to explain this.

Be Specific. Because judgments are subjective, please describe the qualities of the product that worked for you, or motivated you to move on. Comment specifically about what worked or didn’t work about the product/service– whatever is important to you. A few words about your level of expertise are important, since a product that works great for a more advanced trader might not suit a beginner, etc.

Be Polite. If your opinion is critical be honest, but don’t flame.

Help Improve the Site

One thing is clear: this site will only be useful as a trading resource to the extent that it is used. If you like the idea of a knowledge pool for traders, then get the word out: put a link on your web site; post a comment to a discussion group or mailing list; mention it others; tell a friend. If you know of additional products that you think would be good to list here, please give us their info and we’ll will put them up.
